The apartment
This luxurious one bedroom apartment is located in Roquetas de Mar, Costa de Almeria. It has pool views from the large terrace and quality furnishings. It is just 400m from the beach and shops, tapas bars and cafes.
The apartment is fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There is one double bedroom, a good quality leather sofa bed, a tiled marble bathroom, and an fabulous open plan living room with kitchenette, dining area. Baby equipment (travel cot, highchair) is available free of charge. The apartment is in a convenient position, handy for the beach and between the popular Playa Serena area and the marina, which has a more Spanish feel.
The area
There are plenty of activities on offer, both in the town and beyond. Roquetas de Mar is a beach resort with plenty of pleasant cafes and tapas bars along the beach front and in the town. There are plenty of activities such as fishing trips, waterskiing and jet skiing. The long promenade goes from one end of the town to the other perfect for leisurely strolls.
There is a marina in the town with very nice seafood restaurants nearby. On the edge of town there is a waterpark (open Summer) and on the other side, a saltmarsh nature reserve where birds such as egrits and flamingos can be seen. There is a large shopping centre 4km away with a hypermarket for all your shopping needs, and local supermarkets 500m and 2km away, as well as a weekly market for bargain hunters. Golfers are very well catered for, with a top 18hole course at Playa Serena, just 2km away and the 120hectare course at Envia golf, a short drive or walk away. The Cabo de Gata national park is a short drive away and is very beautiful and unspoilt.
The city of Almeria is also a short drive or bus ride away, and has a great deal of charm and is steeped in history. It is located at the foot of a mountain range which is crowned by the magnificent Alcazaba, an Arab fortress built by the Caliph of Cordoba. Drive inland, to the Mini Hollywood area where a lot of Westerns were filmed, and you will find spectacular desert scenery and further afield are the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and The Alhambra at Granada.

Golfers are very well catered for, with a top 18hole course at Playa Serena, just 1km away and the 120hectare course at Envia golf, a 5km drive.
